For this assignment I analyzed a Multimedia Story Package. Here I will examine the strengths and weaknesses of my assigned project and how they made a t-shirt.

What were the strengths of the package?

            I think it was really clever to use a blooper right in the opening video where they explain what this project is. It allows the audience to see that its real people making this, not robots or even someone trying to rip you off. They begin with a very personal warmth and almost a credibility statement as the audience warms up to them quickly.

            There is a good mix of words and graphics and also using more than one type of graphic. There were some links for more information that users could go to if they chose.

What were the weaknesses of the package?

            I think they could have done a better job stating the purpose for this project. Though the video at the beginning does explain the project, you have to click a bit before getting into it. It would help to have some text from the beginning home page that explains a little bit to get viewers interest from the first thing they see.

            I think it would also be useful for the videos to have a closed captioning feature so that viewers could watch without sound as well as cater to those hard of hearing.
